Devry will host David Beckmann on November 19th to discuss his latest book, Poverty Abolitionists. David is a lifelong anti-hunger and anti-poverty leader who led Bread for the World for 29 years. He is a former World Bank economist and recipient of the World Food Prize. David argues that poverty is not inevitable and that designing and implementing effective public policy for poor people takes consistent, persistent effort. The conversation will focus on what people can do today to set the world on a path to end poverty once and for all.
